We all have shadows round our hearts
and what we think it plays a part
if you think vengeance is for good
I think you have misunderstood
as the hatred flows..... So the misery goes

how much abuse can one man take?
How did you learn to love your hate?
The truth is there but not so clear
and in your heart you rule by fear
like a hit and run..... You know you're the one.

This is the thing I'd like to know
and since you're not Pinocchio
do you like to make them dance and sing
when you get them in the ring?

Every day like a re-run
somebody has to beat someone
and those kids grow into the law
who think they are above it all
as the hatred grows..... So the misery flows.

If you think torture is for good
it's clear you have misunderstood
cause torture is just like a ball
which rolls around back to us all
as the power flows..... So the mystery goes

Just like a child wants to win,
You got your hell... you got your sin
You push your violence on the weak,
And prey on the ones who cannot speak .
Where the ego goes..... Seems nobody knows
